Accounts Administrator

The role:
The Accounts Administrator will work as part of the broader finance function within the group and be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of invoices (suppliers / sub-contractors) and ensuring accuracy in data entry and payment timelines.

Responsibilities:

• Accounts payable processing – high volume invoice processing with a complex business structure
• Commission payments – managing, checking, and processing of commission payments
• Coding accuracy – ensuring accuracy in high volume data entry with correct account coding across a variety of group ledgers and cost centres
• Filing management and document management
• Creating payment runs as per required payment schedules for sub-contractors, suppliers, and consultants
• Attendance to internal and external accounts administration queries accurately and in a timely manner
• Other general accounts administration tasks as directed from time to time

Experience:

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role
• Excellent data entry skills
• Ability to work in a high-volume environment with a high degree of accuracy, efficiency, and time management
• Intermediate level of skills in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)
• Working knowledge of a building and construction workflow management system
• Strong customer service skills
• Proven effective interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills, with the ability to work with a diverse range of people and build positive relationships
• A Finance / Accounts qualification is desirable
